The Roanoke Maroons athletic website adds new content almost every day. The redesign of the Maroon athletic site recently won a Silver Summit award for the College.
Brad Moore, director of athletic communications, has recently started adding something for old-school Maroon fans – archived rosters for all sports. The Maroon archive includes bios, photos and year-by-year stats within each player’s respective page. In addition, the hall of fame archive has been posted. Moore is currently working on adding schedules for every season of each sport, which will include recaps, results and game box scores. He has created an archives page for each sport as well, which includes in-depth career, single-season and game records. Also within that link are year-by-year season stats, all-time series records, results, and lettermen and addition to other archive information.
Along with the archive projects of Roanoke’s illustrious athletic history, the College offers current and up-to-date content for Maroon fans, alumni, parents and other viewers. Roanoke recently introduced new in-depth live stats with the new design. Roanoke is also offering free webcasts of every home athletic event, covered by student broadcasters Nick DeSanctis ’12 and Bryant Mortimer ’11. The website also features SMS reports – text messages or emails straight to your phone with updates or scores from Maroon athletic events.

i think that video clips from the local tv news stations should also be added to the sports archives
