Foster ’09 has special debut as director

Betsy Foster ’09, featured in a previous blog post as our “peace and love person” during the search for the Maroon mascot, also was featured on WSLS TV yesterday. Betsy, a theatre arts major, is hearing impaired but making her debut as a director on the local production of “Scrooge The Musical” at the Roanoke Civic Center. The play, a tradition for many in the Roanoke area, is in its eleventh year.

Betsy’s gifts shine through in channel 10′s impressive holiday feature.

Performance schedule for Scrooge:

  • Thursday, December 3 – 7:30 p.m.
    (This performance is specifically for hearing impaired viewers.)
  • Friday, December  4 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, December 5 – 2 p.m.  and 7:30 p.m.
