Tamara Duricka ’98 was married over the weekend. You may remember Duricka from a feature in Roanoke’s January 2009 e-newsletter. She conducted an experiment called “31 Dates in 31 Days” and found love blogging all the way. She married Evan Johnson of date number six – and date number 31 – which took place on Valentine’s Day last year. Catch the latest blissful news in this New York Times article from Sunday’s edition.

Interestingly, Sunday’s NY Times also included news of another Maroon’s nuptials. James Shiftan ’95 and his new bride also were featured.

NOTE: We don’t normally cover weddings on the news blog, but then again, it’s not every day that those announcements hit the AP newswire, as the Duricka-Johnson one did!

thanks for posting – missed this in the Times, fun to read! Congratulations to them.

A tiny side note, my Roanoke sophmore daughter, Current Dignazio, just got a “one liner” in New York Times article end of December regarding heightened security procedures in the airports, after the Detroit incident.
